MaKenzie has been part of the MCRF family since 2018, starting as Recreation Manager before stepping into the Director of Operations role in 2022 and then becoming General Manager in 2023. She’s a University of Iowa grad with a degree in Sport and Recreation Management (event management emphasis) and later earned her master’s in Recreation and Sport Management from Northwest Missouri State University.
With almost 10 years in the sports and recreation world—whether it’s coaching, running events, or leading behind the scenes—MaKenzie is passionate about creating opportunities for people to get active, connect, and enjoy the community. Born and raised right here in Mahaska County, she’s proud to give back to the place she’s always called home.
